What's on the shelf, and what's missing from it?
Stock Health puts a value on every part in the store: what's dead, what hasn't moved in a year, what's in excess, what's out, and what the min and max should really be.
Answers, then actions.
Quarterly, before a stock count, and before setting next year's budget.
Out of stock and below reorder
Parts in regular use with nothing on the shelf, or less than the reorder point once open orders are counted.
Excess, unused and dead
Stock beyond what usage and lead time call for, parts with no use in 12 months, and parts with no movement in two years, all valued.
Suggested min and max
Lead-time demand plus safety stock at the service level you pick (90, 95 or 98%), with a month of use on top for the max.
ABC by consumption value
The few parts that carry most of the value, so counting and reviews start in the right place.
Age of the stock
Value by time since the last issue, receipt or movement.
A worklist, not a report
Every part with its status and the action: order now, stop reordering, move the surplus, review for write-off, set or adjust min/max.
